Earth Song – Choral Summer Intensive Final Performance
About the Event
The final Choral Summer Intensive performance features guest artists, members of the Emily Carr String Quartet and Cascadia Strings, and will include a newly commissioned work by Iranian-Canadian composer Iman Habibi, exploring the impact of deforestation on bird migration patterns. The program also includes the Canadian premiere of The Brontë Suite by Irish composer Libby Croad. Additional works on the program include Ubi Caritas by Maurice Duruflé, Dark & Luminous Night by Ola Gjeilo, Hear My Prayer by Felix Mendelssohn, Libertango by Astor Piazzolla, and Earth Song by Frank Ticheli.
